This is a new place in Boulder.
The management team were exceptionally accommodating and friendly.
They gave us every consideration for seating, and even provided some FREE appetizers because there was some confusion about seating us in their party room or not.
The place is cool, food good, and as you see the rating is HIGH.

Rating-The Red Lion Restaurant this last Sunday Evening Eats 4/20/08

Located five minutes from Boulder, 3.8 miles up Boulder Canyon. Drive west from the intersection of Broadway and Canyon. Set in the beautiful Rocky Mountains overlooking lovely grounds and Boulder Creek.
Here is how the rating broke down:

Overall Rating: 2.78
This is a LOW rating. Everything was going well until it came time to pay. The waiter had insisted on ONE CHECK and we pay separately AFTER adding up our portion. The math didn't get right and it kept dragging on and on......while we tried to figure out what each owed. The entire prior experience which was fun and delightful got overshadowed with "nickel and diming" to figure out who owed what. Naturally we got "out of control" and the waiter finally gave-in and just took whatever we finally came up with.......he really blew it.

Going forward for ALL restaurants I will CLEAR the separate check issue BEFORE we suggest a place to go-if they will not take separate checks we will not go there-DONE!

Rating for Bangkok Cuisine April 13th 2008

Bangkok Cuisine at 4479 Broadway (near Red's Liquor). 303-449-9938 (303-786-9999) "The food is really authentic - most authentic/best we've had (Steve and Crystal) in a long time." The owner (Nepalese) advertised for a Thai chef in L.A.'s Thai language newspaper and got a husband/wife Thai cooking force. The owner is very genuine and kind and looking for all the customers and kudos he can get since the restaurant just launched . The restaurant opens @ 5:00PM.

RATING: There was a small group of us this week (four persons) so according to our informal poll the rating was four (4) overall for this restaurant. Pretty good score and it is a NICE place, cozy, plus the Nepalese owner is really handsome...we definatley will frequent this place again.

Rating-Orchid Pavilion for Sunday April 6, 2008

There were 16 folks who showed up for Chinese Food. We had our highest rating YET for any and ALL restaurants we have been too date.
